Sub-Contractor Labour

Post by Ashishs » Wed Jun 11, 2025 9:46 am

Hi,

I can get the "LaborHours" for a Cost Center using following endpoint:
/api/v1.0/companies/{companyID}/jobs/{jobID}/sections/{sectionID}/costCenters/{costCenterID}

How do I get the breakdown of those hours,e .g. "Sub-Contractor Labour", "Commissioning/Programming Technician" etc. ?

Hi,
See if the /labor/ endpoint under cost centers give you what you need, this will give the total labor broken down with hours and values.

Code: Select all

/api/v1.0/companies/{companyID}/jobs/{jobID}/sections/{sectionID}/costCenters/{costCenterID}/labor/
.

Hi,
can I get information about labor hours for each of cost centers on a job by using jobs endpoint and display all parameter?
/api/v1.0/companies/{companyID}/jobs/?display=all

total labor hours are available at Totals.ResourcesCost.LaborHours.Estimate
but cost centers returned with this call do not have information about the labor hours.

I can get labor hours with this endpoint
jobs/{jobId}/sections/{sectionId}/costCenters/{costCenterId}
and then it is available under Totals.ResourcesCost.LaborHours.Estimate

Is there a more efficient way to get this for 1.000 jobs?
if each job has 3 cost centers on average, this would require 3.000 individual API call to get this information instead of 4 call for jobs endpoint (since 250 can be fetched with a single API call).

Hi nemanja,
The display all retrieves select data on the nested endpoints under a job. It will give you the total in a cost center, different items etc but not the more detailed breakdown in totals.

You can reduce the queries a little bit by querying the data on all cost centers in a section instead of retrieving each cost center.

Code: Select all

/jobs/{id}/sections/{id}/costCenters/?columns=ID,Totals
This reduces the number of calls if a section has multiple cost centers, but you still have to loop over every job.

Thank you, this is very helpful.
I completely overlooked the option to use columns for the Cost Centers endpoint, even though I use it for other queries.
Still, it would be perfect to have this information included in the jobs query results. I'll keep an eye on the API documentation in case this is introduced in the future.
