How to avoid old invoices being pulled?

Post by avinash.walkerscott » Mon Jun 24, 2024 9:44 pm

Hi Team.
We recently integrated Simpro and as part of it we are pulling the invoices based on the if-modified-since header. We went this approach as per the forum suggestion. Now we ended up having another issue. When the job status is modified/changed, it also updates the related invoices. This misleading to pull the older invoices.

How do we avoid this? any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Cheers

Hi Avinash,
I've tested this by changing the status on a related job through Simpro and the API. I can not see that the status update is changing the modified date of an invoice. I tested with some other fields as well without affecting invoices.

Could it be that you are making an updating the invoices in the same workflow?

If you are still having issues please send some more information with some examples of your workflow.

Hi team.

It happened again. I have attached the log with details.
Its only the Job has been modified but the invoices are pulled over with the job modified date.

We are using the one of the request headers to pull the invoices:
If-Modified-Since: Wed, 11 Jul 2024 08:20:24 +12

Hi Avinash,

Can you please share the Simpro build details via private message so we can raise an investigation ticket internally.

Regards.

Hi,
It's part of the url when you log into Simpro. Usually your company name or similar.
