Azure/M365 Single Sign-On (SSO)

Post by FFsimprouser » Wed Aug 30, 2023 9:07 am

I wanted to reach out and inquire if we can integrate Azure/M365 Single Sign-On (SSO) through an API. As many organisations, including ours, are deeply integrated with Microsoft's ecosystem, having Azure/M365 SSO support with simPRO would significantly streamline our workflows and enhance security.

The importance of SSO, especially with widely adopted platforms like Azure/M365, cannot be overstated. It not only simplifies the user experience but also ensures a consistent and secure authentication process. Given the increasing reliance on cloud-based solutions and the need for seamless integrations, I believe this feature would greatly benefit the entire simPRO user community.

I'd appreciate any insights regarding this potential integration.

Hi FFsimprouser

Thanks for your question. We acknowledge the value of having an SSO integration offering and it is a solution that we will be exploring, however, we do not currently have an implementation timeline.

For the immediate term we will continue to base our integration on OAuth2 as our secure solution.

Regards

Hi

This was the message I received from simPRO support

"I honestly think the best scenario here is for your company to proceed with the integration using the Simpro developers centre. Simpro has an open API, this means it can integrate with any other systems out there. " And then they pointed me to the dev forum.

simPRO support seem to think that we integrate simPRO with Azure/M365 Single Sign-On (SSO).

Is this definitely not possible then?
