We have two clients using simPro in New Zealand.
They would both like us to push weekly timesheets data for employees from our Payroll/Timesheet app.
They would like them to appear in jobs as employee times/costs.
As far as I can tell, we are not looking for the schedule endpoints. We need the times to be applied to the job as approved costs.
Can you tell us which endpoint we should be using
Our data consists of:
- employee id
- entry date
- job id
- job cost center id
- start time and finish time (or total hours as a decimal number if required)
- we can pass a rate code if that is required
These are all confirmed/approved entries. We have a weekly process where we export to their selected payroll system (Xero via their API). We want to also send to simPro via the API.
Thanks
Raymond

Re: Pushing timesheets into SimPro
Hi Raymond,
This sound very much like the Job Cost Centers Schedule.
https://developer.simprogroup.com/apido ... 71d4b48ce2
Here you can create a schedule with the information you have such as employee ID, date, rate code and start/stop time directly in a job/cost centre.
Alternatively, see if you can create a work order for the employee. And then update it with a PATCH request where you can add a Block with start/stop time and the Schedule Rate. Here you can also set is as approved. The creation and update must be done in two different transactions as described in the documentation.

I hope some of this can be of use.

Re: Pushing timesheets into SimPro
Thanks. I will do some reading and see how the companies are doing it manually as well.
