Webhook Logs

Post by johnzh » Sat Apr 01, 2023 9:01 am

Is there an API to get the Webhook logs? If not how can I download or view these?

I'm monitoring on my server for potential webhook issues, but then need a way to see the logs from simPro to see which updates we've missed and to resync our data.

any suggestions on how to maintain data sync would be gratefully received.

thanks

Hi johnzh,
This is not something that we have in the API.

Is there something else in the API you can use to get the info you need or have you identified any data in your simPRO build that would help you achieve this but is currently not available in the API that can be posted in our feature request section ?

Hi John,

I don't know if this helps you but we use Metabase to track incoming webhooks from Simpro and our next actions. We can then use conditional logic to colour errors and set up alerts to email. You just need to hook it up to your database.

Thanks Michelle, I will take a look at Metabase.

The scenario I am trying to manage is when i dont receive some Webhook(s), in which case I wont know that our data needs to be refreshed from simPro. I was hoping to download the simPro logs, which would show a failed 'send' from simPro. I could then get the updated data for any missed webhooks.

thx
john
