Plant & Equipment CheckedOutBy Property

Post by bgur » Mon Nov 07, 2022 9:56 pm

Hi,

I can see that you've added the option to check out plant through the API... but it looks like there's no way to check it back in again.

I have tested values such as 'null' and 0, but neither of these seem to work.

Can you please confirm how tools should be checked back in?

Thanks.

Hi,

'CheckedOutBy' is currently not allowed to set as null after it has been set, we will put this into our to-do list and update with you when this feature has been implemented, thank you bgur :)

Hi Robert,

Just checking in to see whether this is a priority? There's no point being able to check out assets if you can't check them back in again. I've been waiting for this feature for a long time, and super stoked that it looks like it's getting implemented. Just a little disappointed that I can't use it yet...

Ben.

Hi bgur,
The ability to check in an asset in the API is included in the latest release.

It might take some time for all builds to receive the update but it should be working soon.

How does one check something in? Patch to the plant item with null in the "CheckedOutBy" property?

Hi, It will be updated in the documentation but your suggestion is correct. Set value to null for "CheckedOutBy".
