Retentions vs Retainages

Post by bgur » Tue Mar 15, 2022 1:06 am

Hello,

There's a feature in simpro (under invoices) that is labelled "Retentions". I understand what these are and would like access to them through the api.

From the API documentation, I find something that sounds similar, "Retainages", but the results to queries look very different.

Are these two intended to be the same resource?

Thanks.

Ben.

Hi,

They both are actually the same thing, but the records under the "Retention" tab are awaiting to create, so it won't show on the API list unless you create it.

Thanks Robert. How can I get something similar to Retentions through the API?

Hi
I have the same question. I can pull invoice retainages but is this the total retention for the job?
I was hoping to pull the retention percentage and timeframe (months) for the job (same as what is shown in Settings of the job).

Cheers,
Steve
