Forum rules

Add to Job Timeline

Hi all,

First time posting, i've had a search and can't find anything about this so forgive me if i've missed it!

We are implementing now and i'm migrating data from our old systems on an 'as needed basis'. If we go to service or repair an asset that we have been to before then i have to show the last 6 years of jobs, and i'm happy enough with creating a job/updating a job...but i cannot see an endpoint to create a timeline item? I recognise I could see the log if needed, but I was hoping to be able to show my engineers each step of the process for those old jobs.

I'm really hoping that it's possible and i'm just being dim but i'm guessing it's not currently a feature?

Hi, welcome to the forum.

I hope I understand your question correctly. You wish to add new notes to the timeline to display work that has been done for a customer before you implemented SimPRO?

This can be done using job notes and the URL below lets you create a new job note in the API which is displayed on the job timeline.
