Logs - Deletions

Post by jellicoe36 » Tue Jul 14, 2020 7:56 am

Hi,

The logs for quotes, jobs, and customer invoices used to track which have been deleted, specifically in the 'Message' Field. So for example, I would query the logs for a deleted job as follows:

Code: Select all

api/v1.0/companies/2/logs/jobs/?Message=%25Deleted Job%25
This query seems to no longer work, is there a possibility it will be re-enabled or perhaps there's an alternative?

This feature made it much easier to track what has been deleted, rather than having to query our dataset against simPROs.

Hello,

There was a bug in logs where logs were not loaded by company ID within endpoint. This patch was made recently after the issue was reported in a forum post.

http://apiforum.simprogroup.com/viewtop ... 121&p=2268

If a job have any references like schedule, invoices etc we archive those jobs, other wise we simply delete those records entirely from the system and that is why the endpoint you are hitting is not giving you any records. because the record itself is removed from the system.

Instead of looking for logs, one proper way could be to setup a delete job webhook. When a job gets deleted, you will instantly know about it and you can perform your own logic on that event. Please follow the documentation link below.

Thank you for your help as always.

Would invoices be in one of the events? I have yet to go through all the webhook events and payloads.

At the moment we dont have hooks for invoice events, however invoices will be definitely covered in webhooks in future.
