We are currently developing an integration for syncing up jobs between Simpro and some external app using the Simpro REST API. The app has a feature which allows users to add some notes on an item and this will be included in the job notes section in Simpro (see attachment below).
But we encountered a problem when a user adds a note in the external app and has the respective job open in Simpro (in read-only mode) then the changes wouldn’t appear in Simpro, even though we can see that the job notes were updated by making an API GET request on the job. Refreshing the page, closing the tab or navigating from the job page didn’t help. The only workaround we found that works is to press 'Cancel' on the job page and reopening it.
Is there any way we can make job changes through the API to appear immediately? Any help is appreciated.

When you update the notes through the API it is updated immediately after you get the response.
When a job is opened even in read-only, that state of the job will be cached the moment it is opened.
The only way to view the change is to load the job again (which is by closing/cancel the job and opening the job again)
