Get Invoice For Customer Credit

How do I retrieve the invoice associated with a customer credit? None of the APIs return a link but the invoice is available on the UI. Am I missing something obvious?

Hi Simon,

Customer Credit is not available on invoice API endpoint at the moment. I'll move this topic to feature request and send you an update when this feature is added and released, thank you.

Credits are available on the customerInvoices API, though. I have no problem getting credits but I can't work out how to find the invoice the credit is against. In my screen shot above I want to get invoice 18.

Hi Simon,

For some technical issues, we intend to create a new separate endpoint for credit note instead of adding 'IsCredit' column on invoice endpoint, but you still can identify whether the invoice is credit via customerInvoice endpoint.

Hi Robbert,

I know how to identify an invoice as credit or not - that's not the issue. My problem is I have a credit and I need to find out what invoice it is associated with.

In my screen shot I am showing a credit note with ID 30007. Note that the circled invoice ID is 18. The API that returns details on the credit note with ID 30007 does not include a field for with invoice ID value 18. That is what I need.

Clearly it is possible to get it because the UI displays it no problem.

Hello Simon,

I understand that you are looking for an association between an invoice and a credit note. Although you can identify, if an invoice is a regular invoice or a credit note, there is still no way in rest API where the information is exposed about retrieving an invoice for a credit note. That's precisely the reason why Robbert moved this topic to a feature request.

Thanks, Muqeet. It wasn't clear to me what was being moved to feature requests - the invoice API being able to pull credits, or the customerInvoices API not returning the associated invoice ID for credits. Both are desirable but the second is what I am after
