API enhancement request: allow unlinking and relinking of existing jobs/quotes irrespective of customer association

Could you please consider adding API functionality to allow unlinking and relinking of existing jobs/quotes, including where the customer is different?

At present, the front-end process requires us to temporarily reassign the project to the desired customer before linking, then reassign it back afterwards. This is cumbersome, time-consuming, and not ideal for our workflow because many of our jobs involve multiple customers at different phases of work.

If the API could support:
  • unlinking an existing job/quote
  • linking an existing job/quote to another job/project
  • doing so without requiring matching customers

it would significantly improve our processes, reduce manual handling, and ensure the action is completed properly via integration.
This would be a big workflow improvement for us and would save considerable time.
