Hi Simpro Team,

I'm currently working on building some automated financial reporting for my company and access to the data that's available in the Profit/Loss Job Report through the API would be make things much simpler for me and I'm sure others as well.

Currently I have no solution for this because of the amount of work that would have to go in to pulling this data from other endpoints and honestly, I'm not even sure if it's possible because my boss does not want me spending too much time on this. Our workflow right now is once a week go into the job profit/loss reports and copy + paste the amount invoiced and net for 2 different cost centers into an excel sheet. This is a simple task and having access to the data via the API would easily allow me to automate it.

Like I said I have only done basic research on trying to implement this, if there are alternative approaches I could consider that I am missing that would be great as well. Thanks for your help!

When you email, it would be helpful if you could include:

- A brief description of your use case and the business process it relates to (e.g. Business Intelligence, Job Management, etc.)

- The specific API endpoint(s) you’d like to see updated

- The operation(s) you’re looking to use (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)

Please note that our API request process has a lead time. Each request goes through assessment, solution design, and then sequencing into an upcoming sprint, subject to priority and capacity.
