Support mobile deep linking

We have a need for Simpro to launch a URL and then, when the activity is completed, automatically return control to the Simpro Mobile App, rather than relying on the user to do this manually via the background apps button / back button or swipe on Android / iOS.
Our devs have looked into this and concluded that the Simpro Mobile app would need to be modified as described below:
"If the SimPRO Mobile app could be extended on both Android and IOS to support deep linking (e.g. clicking on an <a href="simpromobile://"> tag would open SimPRO Mobile), it would allow field engineers to be kept within the SimPRO Mobile app and avoid any confusion. There are many resources on how to implement this online, and is usually as simple as creating a handler to support this type of behaviour."
Could this potentailly be included in SimPRO mobile in the future? Does anyone have any experience with this and have you found any workarounds?
Any advice appreciated, thanks
