OrderBy Query Parameter

are there any written examples of the query parameter "orderby" working?
I cant seem to get it to work.
Array of strings
Example: orderby=orderby=Name
Set the order of the requested records, by prefixing '-' on the column name you can get records by descending order. Comma separated list can also be provided.
