On Simpro, I can see maps and the engineers at their respective sites.
Is it possible for us to retrieve the latitude and longitude data for sites via the Simpro API?

Coordinates for sites are not available through the API. If this is something you would find useful you can suggest it in product board through Simpro Premium.

It would be really useful if we could retrieve the existing coordinates instead of geocoding every time data is fetched from SimPRO.

To expose this through the API it would also have to be available in Simpro.

Setting site coordinates automatically based on an address might not be detailed enough as sites could be in a range of different sizes depending on location and industry.

It is possible to create custom fields on sites that can be assigned longitude and latitude coordinates and retrieved through the API. These can be set as mandatory and read only if required.

Can SimPRO automatically populate these custom fields with coordinates when a record is created or updated, for both sites and employees?

SimPRO already geocodes site addresses: a site represents a single point on the map with a latitude and longitude, and these are already used by the Map Sites option on the Sites page and by the Help Me Decide feature on the Schedule page. Employee addresses appear to be geocoded as well, since Help Me Decide factors in technician locations.

Since the coordinates already exist internally, could they be stored on the site and employee records and exposed through the API?
