API Application Expiration?

Is there an expiration for an API Application that I set up in Simpro? I set one up on 4/8/2025 (Authorization Code method) to allow me to pull data from Simpro into Quickbase. I was able to get it working and it worked fine until 5/8/2025 - so for 30 days. Then I started getting errors because it failed to authenticate. I created a new API Application in Simpro. I created two new connections in Quickbase; one using the original API Application and one using the new API Application. I was able to authorize both new Quickbase connections and they work fine. So do I have to re-authenticate every 30 days?

I am working with technical people at Quickbase on this. They have said that the authentication needed to be refreshed and are wondering if the Simpro authentication has an expiration date. I don't see anything about an expiration date in either the API Application setup in Simpro or in the Simpro Software API documentation.

I have used API Authentication in another API Application I set up (over 2 years ago), which is what I use for testing with Postman and with a Chrome extension, and have never needed to reauthenticate with those. Perhaps I need to set up differently in Quickbase, but I am not an experienced API user so set up what I could get to work in Quickbase.

Hi,
The authorization method you have chosen (Authorization Code) will need to be refreshed to get a new access token.

See mode details here:

It you have previously used API keys to authenticate it would not be necessary to refresh or update the token as they don't expire. Please note that this is a less secure method of authenticating.
