Find instances of a Recuring Job
Hoping that someone can help me find all instanced of a recuring job using the API. I would be happy to even have just the latest instance. I can see this in a report using BI but I cant see a way to access this with the API.

Re: Find instances of a Recuring Job
Hi,
Recurring jobs can be found under the this endpoint:
https://developer.simprogroup.com/apido ... cc4fb03bdc
This only holds the updated info on the job. The API does not have different instances or versions of a job or quote.
Regards

Code: Select all
/api/v1.0/companies/{companyID}/recurringJobs/This only holds the updated info on the job. The API does not have different instances or versions of a job or quote.

Re: Find instances of a Recuring Job
Thankyou. it is a bit frustrating that the job holds refrence to the Recuring job that it was created from however the Recuring Job does not hold refrence to the jobs that were created from it.
the work around appears to be to search every job in history looking for the recuring job as the source, or to try and manually do something with a custom field.
I woudl love to have any suggestions on locating the jobs that are essentially children of the parent Recurring job.

Re: Find instances of a Recuring Job
The query would be something like this /api/v1.0/companies/{companyID}/jobs/?ConvertedFrom.ID={RecurringID}
But
But
Code: Select all
{
"errors": [{
"path": "\/ConvertedFrom",
"message": "This API Column does not allow search requests.",
"value": 1234
}]
}-

Re: Find instances of a Recuring Job
Hi,
As you describe this column does not support search.
If you want to identify jobs that has been created from a recurring job you could add a header to get jobs modified since a specified time and then get the ID and ConvertedFrom columns to limit the data handled.
You can then retrieve the data you want in your backend from the response.
