Webhook 406 problem

Hi,
How do i fix a 406 problem?
I have created several webhook events to a callback url.
And the response code is 406. It started on 13/1/2025. It worked fine before.
Do you know where I should start to figure out how to resolve this 406 problem?
Thanks,
Godfrey.

Hi Godfrey,
We have not seen other reports of 406 errors lately.
I don't know this specific error from before but it seems like the format returned from Simpro is not matching the formats set as accepted on your side. Have you done any changes to your Headers and set restrictons on the type of format accepted?
Regards

Hi,
The header has not changed and there are no restrictions on the type of format accepted as far as i can tell.
Could the webhooks be blocked by the server? If so, what is the IP or URL so it can be whitelisted?
Thanks,
Godfrey.

To see if webhooks are triggered and sent correctly from Simpro I recommend that you test using a webhook testing site such as
webhook.siteor similar.
Add the unique url to your Simpro Webhook setup and trigger it by doing the same updates such as creating a site. If you receive the webhooks you know they are delivered as expected and can start debugging why they are failing with your specific callback url.
The webhook IP's are not available to us so I'm unable to share these unfortunately.

Hi SimproAPITeam,
I did some testing and found that the response being returned from the URL is not the correct encoding.
The encoding of the message being returned was still in gzip format and not deflated.
Which then explains why Simpro is reporting a 406 not acceptable error.
