Webhooks have been unreliable for years - what's going on?

These issues have been present for years, and the transfer to AWS last year seems to have done little to help.

It seems that at best webhooks are taking minutes to send, and at worst up to several hours. They will often send what should have been a single webhook, twice.

Every other service we use is capable of sending webhooks instantaneously and reliably. SimPRO is continually the bottleneck in our processes.

Why is SimPRO so bad at this? Will it ever get better?

Hi calvin.
We understand your frustration with the webhooks recently. Increased traffic as more clients use the webhook functionality have sometimes caused big delays when customers do mass updates in Simpro.

When Simpro transitioned to AWS last year this did not include the platform sending webhooks, that change was done to improve the stability and capacity for Simpro.

Please be aware that we are working on a new solution that will improve both speed and reliability to remove the queues and delays that occur more frequently before.

Regards

Is there any ETA on when this new solution will be rolled out? It seems like there is very little responsibility from Simpro for what is a critically important feature to many businesses.

To be clear, this isn't just recently. I've been using webhooks on Simpro for years and it feels like they have significant delays more often than not.
