Hi team,

The asset webhooks have recently been updated. Could you confirm please exactly which changes on an asset will now trigger the asset.updated webhook?

In particular, does it cover changes in:

customFields
LastTest.Result
LastTest.Date
ServiceLevels

Thanks
Michelle

Hi Michelle,
After the recent release webhooks are triggered when assets on work orders are added, removed and tested on jobs and quotes.

It is not triggered by updates to custom fields but that is something that we can look into.

Thank you Sindre. I believe having custom fields updated was part of the changes discussed for the asset webhook. Perhaps it got missed off?

Something else, you said a webhook will be triggered when assets are tested on job. If the job test history ends up as No Test and the admin team update the Service Levels Next Service Date will that trigger a webhook?

Thanks
Michele

Hi Michelle,
We will create a new ticket for the custom fields webhook for work orders.

Could you please leave a comment here or on a private message the workflow you have when you want the assets custom fields to trigger a webhook. Also include your expected results and what information should be included in the webhook and we can include your insight i our ticket.

For the asset test result, registering an asset with No Test will trigger a job.asset.tested webhook the test result "NoTest" and the details for the asset.

Regards

Hi Sindre,

I think for the custom fields on an asset, when a custom field value is changed that should trigger a DateModified which in turn will hopefully trigger an asset.updated.

The new job.asset.tested webhook is working well for simpro suite users but I noticed it hasn't been rolled out to all cloud builds yet. Do you know when that will be completed? Typically the cloud builds are for the larger simpro users who have a lot of assets so just running an overnight cron update on the DateModified value isn't ideal.

I'll leave a list of my cloud build clients in a private message so that you can advise on dates.

Thanks
Michelle
