Hi There,
As of this afternoon, we are experiencing a whole lot of 429 - Rate Limit Exceeded.
This is not something we have encountered before. Nothing has changed with our system. Has there been a change to the API that would suddenly cause this to occur?
I have throttled our requests to no more than 5 requests per second and I am still encountering the issue...
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Rate limit exceeded

Hi,
There has been an API call limit in place since 2022. You can see the announcement here : viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1876

There was a slight change in the way we enforce that limit recently (shorter check period), but that has not changed the 10 requests per second limit.
I would recommend handling 429 in your logic directly rather than throttling your requests (sleep, queue, etc).

I am aware of the rate limit has been around for some time, but as I stated, this issue had not appeared for us until yesterday.
We went from a fully functioning system to an unusable one, just yesterday.
The slight change you mentioned has had a severe impact. I am able to implement a fix to this but my system will be down now until I can resolve it. Some notice on a change like this would be useful so that we wouldn't be in this situation.
