Barcodes for plant & equipment

Hello,
I just saw a video that it is possible to scan barcodes for catalogue items and customer assets.
It would be very helpful if I could use barcode scanning for our tools in the 'plant & equipment' section.
Hopefully, this is something that can be added soon.
